1. Purpose and acceptance
1.1 IDTraders does not accept money that is the proceeds of crime, does not deal with persons it is prohibited from dealing with, and does not allow the platform to be used to launder money, to finance terrorism or to evade sanctions. This Policy sets out how identity is verified, how activity is monitored and what IDTraders may do when it has a concern. It forms part of the agreement between you and IDTraders together with the Terms of Service, the Risk Disclosure, the Package Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.
1.2 By opening an account or depositing you accept this Policy, agree to provide the information and documents it requires, and agree to the checks, holds, limits and actions it describes.
1.3 IDTraders applies this Policy as a minimum and may apply stricter requirements to any client, product, country or transaction at its discretion, with or without notice.
2. Who must be verified and when
2.1 Every client must complete identity verification ("KYC") before the first withdrawal from the platform, whatever the amount.
2.2 Every client must complete KYC before making a deposit that would take the total deposited on the account above USD 1,000 or its equivalent, and before taking a commitment package, applying to become a master trader, or joining the IB program.
2.3 IDTraders may require KYC, or further verification, from any client at any time — including before a deposit below the threshold in clause 2.2, before any withdrawal, on a change of the client's details, on unusual activity, on a request from a provider, bank, exchange or authority, or periodically as part of ongoing due diligence — and may hold the account until it is complete.
2.4 A client who does not complete verification within the time IDTraders sets may have deposits returned to their source, copies stopped, packages ended under the Package Terms and the account closed.
3. What we ask for
3.1 Proof of identity: a valid, unexpired, government-issued photo identity document — passport, national identity card or driving licence — showing your full name, date of birth, document number and expiry date. Both sides where relevant.
3.2 Proof of address: a document not older than three months showing your full name and current residential address — a utility bill, bank or card statement, tax or government letter, or another document IDTraders accepts. Mobile-phone bills and documents addressed to a business or a third party are not accepted.
3.3 Liveness: a photograph or short video of you, taken during verification, that matches the identity document.
3.4 Source of funds and source of wealth: where IDTraders asks, an explanation and supporting evidence of where the money you deposit comes from and how your wealth was accumulated — for example payslips, business records, bank statements, sale contracts, inheritance or gift documents, or exchange statements for cryptocurrency.
3.5 Any further information or document that IDTraders, a provider or an authority reasonably requires, including information about your occupation, the purpose of your account, your expected activity, your tax residence and whether you or a close associate hold or have held a prominent public function.
3.6 Documents must be clear, complete, in colour, unedited and legible. IDTraders may reject a document that is cropped, blurred, expired, altered, inconsistent with other information, or that it cannot verify, and may ask for a different document.
4. How verification works
4.1 You submit your information and documents through the verification page in your account. Documents are held in a login-protected store and are never published or made accessible to other clients, masters or IBs.
4.2 IDTraders and its verification providers check the documents for authenticity, match them to you and to the information on your account, and screen your name and details against sanctions, politically-exposed-person, adverse-media and internal lists.
4.3 Verification is normally completed within two business days of receiving complete documents. It may take longer where a document is unclear, where further information is needed, where a screening result needs review, or where volumes are high. IDTraders may ask questions during review and may require a live video call.
4.4 You are told in your account, and by e-mail, when verification is approved, when further information is needed, or when it is refused. IDTraders is not obliged to state the reason for a refusal.
4.5 Verification approved at one time may be reviewed, re-run or withdrawn at any later time.
5. Ongoing monitoring
5.1 IDTraders monitors deposits, withdrawals, trades, copies, commissions, logins, devices, IP addresses and communications on an ongoing basis, using automated rules and manual review, to identify activity that is unusual for the client, inconsistent with the information given, or indicative of money laundering, fraud, sanctions evasion, market abuse or a breach of the Terms of Service.
5.2 IDTraders may set and change transaction limits, velocity limits, holding periods and thresholds for any client, country, method or product, and may apply enhanced checks to any client it considers higher-risk, including clients who hold or have held a prominent public function and their close associates and family members.
5.3 Where activity triggers a review, IDTraders may hold the relevant deposit, withdrawal, copy, commission or balance, restrict the account, and ask you for information or documents. You must answer fully, truthfully and promptly.
5.4 A hold or restriction under this Policy is not a breach of the Terms of Service and gives rise to no claim against IDTraders, whatever its duration and whatever the outcome of the review.
6. Prohibited persons and countries
6.1 IDTraders does not open accounts for, and will close accounts of, any person who: is subject to sanctions imposed by any major sanctions authority; is a resident or citizen of a country subject to comprehensive sanctions or identified as high-risk by the Financial Action Task Force; is listed on a law-enforcement, terrorism or sanctions list; has been refused or closed by IDTraders before; or refuses or fails to complete verification.
6.2 IDTraders may add or remove countries and categories from the prohibited list at any time, and may restrict or refuse service in any country in which it reasonably considers that providing the service would breach the law or expose it to unacceptable risk.
6.3 Using a VPN, proxy, false address or another person's details to disguise your location or identity is prohibited and is grounds for immediate closure and forfeiture under clauses 9 and 10.
7. Deposits and withdrawals
7.1 Deposits must come from an address, wallet or account that you own and control. Payments from a third party are not accepted and may be returned to their source, less network costs, or held pending explanation.
7.2 Withdrawals are paid only to an address that you own and control and that IDTraders has not flagged. IDTraders may require evidence that an address is yours before paying to it, and may require a withdrawal to go back to the source of the deposit.
7.3 IDTraders may refuse, delay or return any deposit and may refuse, delay or hold any withdrawal where it has a concern under this Policy, where verification is incomplete, where a provider, exchange or network flags the transaction, or where required by law or by an authority.
7.4 IDTraders may apply the "travel rule" or equivalent requirements, and may require originator and beneficiary information for any transfer, where a provider or a law requires it.
8. Reporting and cooperation with authorities
8.1 IDTraders may report any activity, transaction, client or account to a financial-intelligence unit, regulator, law-enforcement body or other authority where it considers it appropriate or where required by law, and may do so without telling you. Where the law prohibits "tipping off", IDTraders will not disclose that a report has been made or that an investigation is under way.
8.2 IDTraders may freeze balances, refuse transactions and hold documents for as long as an authority requires, and may hand over any record to an authority on a lawful request.
8.3 You agree that IDTraders is not liable to you for any loss arising from a report, a freeze, a hold, a disclosure or any other action taken in good faith under this clause.
9. Our rights and remedies
9.1 Where IDTraders reasonably believes that you have given false or misleading information, have failed to complete verification, are a prohibited person, are using the platform for an unlawful purpose or in breach of this Policy, or where an authority requires it, IDTraders may, without notice and at its sole discretion: refuse or hold any transaction; freeze any wallet; stop any copy and end any package under the Package Terms; withhold or reverse any commission, reward or profit; suspend or close the account; return remaining funds to their source, less any amount due to IDTraders and any cost of return; forfeit profits derived from the conduct; and retain funds for as long as the law or an authority requires.
9.2 IDTraders may recover from any balance you hold, or from you directly, any cost, fine, penalty or loss it suffers as a result of your breach of this Policy.
9.3 IDTraders' decision on any matter under this Policy is final, as provided in the Terms of Service.
10. Suspension and closure
10.1 IDTraders may suspend, restrict or close an account at any time, with or without notice, where it suspects — on any ground and without needing proof — that the account, its owner, its funds or its activity may be connected with money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, fraud, market abuse or any other unlawful or prohibited conduct. Suspicion is sufficient; IDTraders is not required to establish that any wrongdoing has in fact occurred, to disclose the ground of its suspicion, or to hear the client before acting.
10.2 Holding, opening, operating or controlling more than one account, whether in your own name, under another name, through a family member, associate or nominee, or by sharing devices, addresses, documents or payment sources with another account, is prohibited. Where IDTraders identifies or suspects linked accounts, it may suspend or close every account involved, cancel any bonus, commission, reward or rank obtained through them, forfeit profits derived from them, and return remaining funds to their source.
10.3 Submitting a document that is forged, altered, expired, borrowed, stolen, generated, digitally manipulated, or that belongs to another person; submitting a photograph or video that is not a live capture of you; or giving any false, misleading or incomplete information during verification or afterwards, is a serious breach. IDTraders may suspend or close the account immediately, retain the document as evidence, report the matter to the authorities, refuse any future account, and forfeit any balance, profit, commission or reward derived from the account.
10.4 Other grounds on which IDTraders may suspend or close an account include, without limitation: failure to complete verification or to answer a request for information within the time set; use of a VPN, proxy or other means to disguise identity or location; deposits from or withdrawals to addresses that are not yours; a chargeback, reversal or dispute on any payment; a request from a provider, exchange, bank, regulator or law-enforcement body; conduct that is abusive towards staff or other clients; and any breach of this Policy or of the Terms of Service.
10.5 While an account is suspended, deposits are not credited, withdrawals and copies are held, packages continue under the Package Terms, commissions are withheld, and IDTraders may close positions where it considers that necessary. Suspension may be lifted, or converted into closure, at IDTraders' discretion. A suspension or closure under this section gives rise to no claim against IDTraders, and IDTraders' decision is final.
11. Record keeping
11.1 IDTraders keeps identity documents, verification results, screening results, transaction records, monitoring records, communications and reports for the period required by the law that applies to it, which is not less than five years from the closure of the account or the completion of the transaction, and for longer where a dispute, investigation or legal requirement applies. The Privacy Policy describes how this data is stored and shared.
12. Your obligations
12.1 You must: give true, complete and current information at registration and whenever asked; tell IDTraders promptly of any change in your name, address, nationality, contact details, tax residence, occupation or public function; use only funds that are lawfully yours; deposit and withdraw only through addresses you own and control; not use the platform on behalf of another person; not attempt to structure transactions to avoid a threshold or a check; and cooperate fully with any review, request or investigation.
12.2 A breach of this clause is a breach of the Terms of Service and may be treated as prohibited conduct under them.
13. Changes and contact
13.1 IDTraders may change this Policy at any time by publishing the amended version on the website. The date at the top is the date of the current version; continued use of the platform after a change is acceptance of it.
13.2 Questions about verification or this Policy: support@idtraders.com. This Policy is written in English; a translation is provided for convenience only and the English text prevails where they differ.
