1. Acceptance
By opening an account, logging in, making a deposit, following a master trader, joining the IB program or taking a commitment package, you confirm that you have read this Risk Disclosure in full, that you understand it, and that you accept every risk described in it. Reading and accepting this document is a condition of using the platform. If you do not accept it, do not open an account and do not deposit. This document is to be read together with the Terms of Service, the Package Terms shown at confirmation, the AML & KYC Policy and the Privacy Policy; where they overlap, the more specific document applies.
2. The nature of the products
The instruments traded and copied on IDTraders — foreign exchange pairs, gold and other precious metals, cryptocurrencies, and stock indices — are leveraged, speculative and volatile. Leverage means a small movement in price produces a large movement in your result, in both directions. Prices can gap: they can jump from one level to another without trading at the levels in between, especially at the open after a weekend or holiday, around scheduled economic releases and central-bank decisions, and during periods of low liquidity. A stop-loss is an instruction, not a guarantee; in a fast or gapping market a position can be closed at a worse price than the stop level, and the loss can exceed what you expected when you set it.
When you trade or copy a trade on the platform you do not own, and acquire no right to, the underlying currency, metal, coin or index. You hold a position whose value tracks the price of that asset. Cryptocurrency markets trade every hour of every day, are unregulated in many jurisdictions, and can lose a large part of their value in minutes. Precious metals and indices are closed for part of every week and on exchange holidays; a position held over a closure is exposed to whatever has happened when the market reopens. You can lose the whole of the funds you allocate to a position, a copy or a package.
3. Copy trading
Copy trading mirrors the trades of another participant ("master trader") into your wallet. The decision to follow a master, the amount you allocate, the stop-loss you set and the package you choose are decisions made solely by you. IDTraders does not select, recommend, endorse or vouch for any master trader. A master trader's published returns, drawdown, win rate, risk grade, follower count, rank, badge or position in any list is a record of the past and is not a representation, forecast or promise about the future. Master traders are independent participants; they are not employees or agents of IDTraders, and IDTraders is not responsible for their strategy, their discipline, their decisions or their results.
Your result will differ from the master's. Copies are mirrored after the master's trade, at the price available to your wallet at that moment, in proportion to your allocation, and subject to your available balance, your stop-loss and the platform's stop-out rules. The stop-out engine checks positions on a cycle of approximately fifteen seconds; a position can move materially between checks. A copy can be reduced, rejected or closed by the platform when your balance, your limits or the market rules require it. A master can change strategy, increase risk, stop trading, withdraw from the platform or be removed by IDTraders at any time, with or without notice, and any of these can close your copies at a loss. Following several masters does not remove risk; correlated positions can lose together.
4. Commitment packages
A commitment package locks a copy allocation for a fixed term in return for a larger share of profit. The lock is real: the funds are not available to you before the term ends. Ending a package early is possible only on the early-exit conditions disclosed on the platform at the moment you confirm it, and the consequences of an early exit are yours to bear in full. A larger profit share does not reduce the risk of loss; a package can end with less than you put in. The Package Terms govern every package and prevail over this section.
5. Platform, technology and data
The platform is delivered over the internet and depends on systems that are not ours: price feeds and market data from third-party providers, blockchain networks, exchanges, hosting, telecommunications, your device and your connection. Any of these can fail, be delayed, be interrupted, be attacked or deliver incorrect data. Prices shown on the site or in the terminal may be delayed or wrong; an order or a copy may be delayed, rejected, partially filled or filled at a different price; the platform may be unavailable for maintenance or because of an outage. IDTraders does not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure or available at any given time, and accepts no responsibility for any loss caused by a delay, failure, error or interruption of any system, feed, network or device that it does not own and operate, nor for any loss caused by your inability to reach the platform for any reason.
6. The IB program, ranks and rewards
IB commissions depend entirely on the activity of the traders in your network; if they stop trading, your income stops. Commission rates, program tables, rank thresholds, rewards and qualification rules are set by IDTraders and can be changed. Ranks are earned by meeting the published conditions and are lost when the conditions are no longer met; rewards, salaries, tours and other benefits are conditional on the rules in force at the time and can be withheld or withdrawn where the rules are not met or where IDTraders finds abuse, self-referral, wash trading, fake accounts or any other manipulation of the program. Nothing in the IB program is a guarantee of income.
7. Deposits and withdrawals
Deposits and withdrawals on the platform are made in cryptocurrency. A transfer on a blockchain cannot be reversed, recalled or cancelled once sent. If you send funds to the wrong address, on the wrong network, for the wrong asset, or with a memo or tag missing where one is required, those funds are lost and IDTraders cannot recover them. Confirm the address, the network and the asset every time; a deposit address shown in your account is valid only for the asset and network stated beside it. Network fees are set by the blockchain, not by IDTraders, and can change without notice. Withdrawals are processed within the times published in your account and can be delayed or held for identity verification, source-of-funds checks, security review, suspicious-activity review, technical reasons or a legal requirement. A withdrawal request that is paid to the address you gave is complete; IDTraders is not responsible for that address, the wallet behind it or the exchange that holds it.
8. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for: the accuracy of the information you give us at registration and afterwards; keeping your login, password, e-mail account, device and authentication codes secure, and for every action taken through your account whether or not you authorised it; ensuring that your use of the platform is lawful where you live and that you are permitted to trade the instruments offered; understanding every product before you use it; reporting and paying any tax due on your activity; and using only money whose loss you can afford. You must not share your account, trade for others, open more than one account without permission, or use the platform for any unlawful purpose. Communications from IDTraders — by e-mail, in the portal, in chat or in any other form — are information, not advice, and you must not rely on them as a recommendation to take any position.
9. No advice, no guarantee
IDTraders is a platform, not an adviser. Nothing on this website, in the portal, in the terminal, in an e-mail, in a chat, in a webinar or in any other communication from IDTraders or from a master trader is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any instrument, or a recommendation to follow any master trader or take any package. Figures displayed on the site — returns, drawdown, win rates, follower counts, network totals, platform totals — are drawn from platform records and may be corrected or restated at any time. No statement by IDTraders, by a master trader, by an IB or by any other person is a guarantee of profit, of the preservation of capital, of a particular return or of the future performance of any master, strategy or instrument. If you are unsure whether trading or copy trading is suitable for you, seek independent advice from a qualified professional before you deposit.
10. Discrepancies and how they are handled
If you believe that your wallet balance, a trade, a copy, a settlement, a commission or any other record on the platform is wrong, contact support@idtraders.com with the details: your account e-mail, the trade or transaction ID, what you expected, what you saw, and screenshots where you have them. We investigate every report in good faith against the account records, trade logs, wallet transactions and price data of the time. Where the platform's own record is found to be wrong, we correct it and restore the affected balance to the position it would have been in had the error not occurred. That correction is the full and only remedy for a platform error.
Because price, execution and log data are held in detail only for a limited period, any problem concerning a price, an execution, a copy, a stop-out or a settlement must be reported on the same calendar day (GMT) on which it occurred. A report received after that day will be considered, but IDTraders may be unable to investigate it, is not obliged to correct it, and accepts no responsibility for a loss that could have been prevented or reduced had the problem been reported on the day. Reports about deposits and withdrawals must be made as soon as you become aware of the problem and in any event within seven days of the transaction. A discrepancy does not suspend your obligations, and open positions continue to run while a report is reviewed.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by the law that applies to you, IDTraders, its owners, directors, employees, contractors, agents and affiliates are not liable to you for: any loss arising from trading or copy trading, including the loss of funds allocated, the loss of profit, missed profit or missed opportunity; any loss arising from a movement in price, a gap, a lack of liquidity, a stop-loss executed at a different level or a stop-out; any act, omission, strategy, decision, performance or conduct of a master trader or of another participant; any delay, error, failure, interruption or inaccuracy in a price feed, market data, blockchain network, exchange, hosting service, telecommunications service, your device or your internet connection; any loss arising from the security of your account, your e-mail or your device, from a transfer sent to a wrong address or network, or from a withdrawal paid to the address you provided; any change in law, regulation, tax or the availability of a market or instrument; any event beyond our reasonable control, including outages, cyber-attacks, market closures, government action, civil disturbance and natural events; and any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss of any kind, whether or not it was foreseeable and whether or not we were told it might occur. Every exclusion in this section applies whatever the legal basis of the claim, whether in contract, in negligence, under statute or otherwise, and applies to all of the persons named at the start of it. Where the law that applies to you does not allow a particular liability to be excluded, that liability is limited to the correction of the platform record described in section 10, and where a money remedy is nonetheless required by that law, the total liability of IDTraders and of every person named at the start of this section to you, for all claims of any kind arising in any twelve-month period, taken together, shall not exceed one thousand United States dollars (USD 1,000), and you agree that this amount is reasonable having regard to the nature of the service and the fees charged for it. Nothing in this document excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you.
12. Your indemnity
You agree to indemnify IDTraders and the persons named in section 11 against any loss, cost, claim, penalty or expense, including reasonable legal costs, that any of them suffers as a result of your breach of this document or the Terms of Service, your unlawful use of the platform, inaccurate or incomplete information you provided, a claim brought against IDTraders by a third party in connection with your account or your activity, or a payment reversal, dispute or chargeback that you initiate or that is initiated on your behalf.
13. Regional restrictions
This website and the services described on it are not intended for distribution to, or use by, any person or entity in any jurisdiction where such distribution or use would be contrary to local law or regulation, or which would subject IDTraders or its affiliates to any registration or licensing requirement within such jurisdiction. The services are not offered to citizens or residents of the United States of America, or of jurisdictions identified on the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) high-risk list or on major international sanctions lists. It is your responsibility to ensure that your use of the platform complies with the laws of your jurisdiction; an account opened in breach of this section may be closed and its funds returned, less any amounts properly due, to the source they came from.
14. Changes and language
IDTraders may update this Risk Disclosure at any time. The date at the top is the date of the current version; continued use of the platform after a change is acceptance of the changed document. This document is written in English; a translation is provided for convenience only and the English text prevails where they differ. If any part of this document is found to be unenforceable, the rest of it continues to apply.
Questions about this document can be sent to support@idtraders.com. The policies referred to above are published on this website and form part of your agreement with IDTraders.
